A day to enjoy with the family

On Saturday, July 4, Pla de Beret will once again come alive with families, music, and young runners for a new edition of the Trail Festival Baqueira Beret, one of the most special days of HOKA Val d’Aran by UTMB®. While VDA runners tackle the Beret section with 100 kilometres already in their legs, the youngest participants will enjoy their own adventure filled with races, games, and mountain fun.

Since its first edition in 2021, the Trail Festival Baqueira Beret has become much more than a sporting event: it is a morning to share with family, discover trail running from an early age, and experience the unique atmosphere that fills the Val d’Aran throughout event week.

Young runners will also have their chance to feel like true champions in the Kids Races, an activity specially designed for children aged 4 to 12 years old.

Between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., participants will start in groups every 15 minutes to complete a fun 200-metre course featuring games and challenges adapted to their age. The activity is non-competitive, with no timing or rankings: the goal is simply to have fun, share the experience, and enjoy the excitement of crossing the finish line.

All participants will receive a finisher medal and will be able to recharge their energy at the refreshment station available after the race.

REGISTRATIONS

The Sanglièrs 5K is a race designed for future ultra runners. A 5 km course through the spectacular surroundings of Pla de Beret, where children and young runners aged 6 to 16 can enjoy the UTMB® experience in a fun, safe environment surrounded by nature.

The event is non-competitive, with no timing or rankings. The goal is to share a passion for trail running, enjoy an unforgettable day outdoors, and cross the finish line with a smile. All participants will receive a finisher medal and will be able to refuel at the refreshment station available at the finish.

Start time: 10:30 a.m.

Age: 6 to 16 years old. Children aged 6 and 7 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

¡NEW! FAMILY RACE

This year, we are launching the FAMILY RACE, a new format created for parents and children to share the Sanglièrs 5K experience together.

Adult participants will start alongside the young runners and complete the 5 km course with them, enjoying a morning of sport, nature, and fun in one of the most iconic landscapes of the Val d’Aran.

To ensure the best possible organization and experience for all participants, it is essential to indicate your participation in the Family Race category during the registration process.

REGISTRATIONS

The SKY PROMESAS is an 18 km race with 900 m of elevation gain, timed and ranked, open to all runners aged 16 and over. The race starts at Pla de Beret and follows a spectacular route winding past stunning mountain lakes such as Estanh de Baciver and the Estanhs deth Clòt der Os, where the second aid station will be located, as well as an ideal viewing point for family members and spectators to cheer on the runners.

Before reaching the summit, the course climbs through the Portilhon de Marimanha, an iconic mountain pass leading to Tuc deth Dossau (2,522 m), one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the Pyrenees, offering unforgettable panoramic views for young adventurers.

The Clòt der Os chairlift will be operating during the race, allowing spectators and companions to use it free of charge to access the course and support their runners.

Fun is guaranteed for the youngest participants at the Kids Trail FunZone, a space designed for them to enjoy a day full of adventure, creativity, and entertainment while experiencing the unique atmosphere of the event. They will find a wide range of activities suitable for all ages, including slides, an adventure course, human table football, obstacle courses, arts and crafts workshops, games, inflatables, face painting, and much more. A place to run, play, explore, and make new friends in a safe environment designed for the whole family. In addition, you can enjoy the wide range of food and dining options available at Baqueira Beret, with cafés, restaurants, and welcoming spaces to relax and share memorable family moments.
