More mountain, more life

More mountain, more life

From HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB® we would like to propose a series of good practices so that our dream, your dream, remains a reality. Thank you for your collaboration!

The mountain has its own law

Have fun while practising sport, but always respect the regulations of the area. Try to follow the routes marked in advance, and avoid shortcuts that cause unnecessary soil erosion.

Follow the indications and signs when you enter the peripheral area of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park. Check the Park's regulations HERE.

The mountain has its own law

Every drop counts

Don't waste water. Buy only what you need and avoid single-use plastics and disposable materials.

Reuse your drop bag

If you have already taken part in an edition of HOKA Val d'Aran by UTMB® and you still have your life bag, give it a second chance and reuse it in your race. Be sustainable.

Separating gives life

Deposit the waste in the selective collection containers provided. Outside the aid stations, take them with you in your backpack to the nearest bin.

Hygiene in nature

Do not litter fountains and streams with your biological waste. Make sure your stools are well covered and away from trails and water areas. Use the least amount of toilet paper possible to reduce waste, and remember to take it with you and deposit it in the containers provided. In the envelope with your race bib you will find a small bag for this purpose, but it is a good idea to bring another one with you.

You can look, but please, don’t touch

While running or walking, do not disturb wildlife, especially in the mountains.

The best sound is the sound of nature

Noise pollution can disturb both people and native species. Avoid unnecessary noise and don’t disturb, especially in mountain areas.

Be aware of where you are going

When passing through a barrier or gate, always leave it closed. And remember, if you pass through private land, do not pick fruit from trees without the owner's permission.

My home is your home

Take care of the natural environment and leave it as it would be if you had not been there.

Pure mountain air

Avoid unnecessary CO2 emissions. Use public transport when travelling within the Valley, if possible. If you need to use your vehicle, park it in the car parks set up for this purpose.

The mountain OFF

When you are not driving, always turn off the engines.

We take care of people

Help boost rural economies by using local services and consuming local products.
