The more than 200 lakes or estanys that compose it, the impressive peaks of "Els Encantats", and its characteristic high mountain meanders (the aigüestortes) are the main signs of identity of the only national park in Catalonia, which covers 105 square kilometers of high mountain and is the center of a Protected Natural Area three times larger.
The VDA, the CDH and the PDA cross part of the peripheral area of this spectacular enclave, passing through the largest glacial lake cirque in the Pyrenees, Colomèrs. An incomparable spectacle with water as the main protagonist.
