Val d'Aran by UTMB® sells out the race bibs of the PDA in record time

The 55 kilometre race hangs up the 'Sold out' sign 20 days after the opening of the registration period

Val d'Aran by UTMB® 2024 began its journey on 19 September with the opening of registration. The race, which for the fourth consecutive year will be a European Major, will be held from 3 to 7 July in the Val d'Aran, the heart of the Pyrenees, and in just 20 days has sold more than 60% of the bibs available for its 5 distances.

The 55-kilometre race, with 3,300 metres of elevation gain and 3,700 metres of elevation loss, has hung the "Registration Closed" sign in record time. The race of the lakes, as it is known, is unlike any other. A real marvel at an altitude of over 2,000 metres that no one wants to miss.

Unlike last year, when the organisers opened a waiting list to cover cancellations, this time this option will not be offered. Therefore, runners who want to experience the magic of Val d'Aran by UTMB® first hand will have to look for a new challenge among the options for which there are still places available. But they can't get lost. More than 4,000 runners have already formalised their registration and will be in Vielha next July.

The process is still open for the rest of the distances : VDA, with its 163 kilometres and 10,000 metres of positive vertical drop; the CDH, with 110 kilometres and 6,400 metres of positive vertical drop; the EXP, with 32 kilometres and 2,100 metres of positive vertical drop; and the SKY with 15 kilometres and 800 metres of positive vertical drop.
