Val d'Aran by UTMB® offers 30 Charity Bibs for its 2024 edition

The amount paid for these bibs will go to ADDA, the Aran Association for the Discapacitated, and Càritas d'Urgell - Centre Val d'Aran. The donations are collected by UTMB® Cares, a non-profit foundation created by the UTMB® Group.

Val d'Aran by UTMB® sold out all its bibs months ago. Now the organisation has launched a new initiative with the aim of supporting local projects related to solidarity, health, inclusion and the environment.

Those interested can purchase one of the 30 charity bibs available for its three main distances: 10 for the VDA, 10 for the CDH, and 10 for the PDA.

The money raised will go to two local non-profit organisations chosen by Val d'Aran by UTMB®.

The organisations selected for this year are:

  • ADDA, the Aran Association for the Discapacitated, an association whose purpose is to help people with intellectual disabilities of working age who, due to their characteristics, cannot access a work contract, and which currently welcomes users from the Val d'Aran and Alta Ribagorça. In addition, ADDA has been carrying out different tasks for the event since its first edition, such as the preparation of the ribbons, the signposting that is distributed throughout the valley, or the production of magnets and trophy plaques for the winners.

  • Càritas d'Urgell - Centre Val d'Aran, an organisation that seeks to promote, guide and coordinate the social and charitable action of the Diocese of Urgell, particularly in the Aran Valley, with projects focused on children and young people, the elderly, homeless and housing, employment programmes, shelter and accompaniment, social aid, and social and solidarity economy.

The donations are collected by UTMB® Cares, a non-profit foundation created by the UTMB® Group, which donated 2,500 euros of the funds collected in 2023 to the Lleida Cancer Association, organiser of summer camps in the Val d'Aran for children with cancer or with family members in the process of cancer.

UTMB® Cares is a non-profit foundation and a global initiative to unite the world trail running community and create positive change by supporting local social and environmental causes at the destinations of the races on the circuit. Rooted in the values of solidarity, respect, inclusion, authenticity and humility, UTMB® Cares uses the global platform of the UTMB® World Series to influence local positive change, focusing on three main pillars: people, the environment, and communities.
