Discover Val d'Aran
The Val d'Aran, known as "The Essence of the Pyrenees", is a valley facing the Atlantic located in the central Pyrenees, home to the source of the Garonne River. It has an extension of 620 km and 30% of its territory above 2,000 m of altitude, with summits that reach 3,000 m, characteristics that make this place a favorite place for nature lovers. Bordering France, it has a unique climate, perpetual snows, exquisite gastronomy, idiomatic singularity and a strong cultural heritage. More than 95% of the Valley's territory is pure nature, much of which is in the National Park of "Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici".
