REGISTRATION PROCESSES

Following the exceptional demand experienced when registration opened for the 2026 edition, HOKA Val d’Aran by UTMB is introducing this new system to give all interested runners an equal opportunity to secure a bib, regardless of their availability when registration opens or the speed of their internet connection.

Runners wishing to participate in any of these three races must first complete a free pre-registration within the specified period.

All runners pre-registered for the TDL, PDA and EXP lottery will receive an email on the day the results are announced informing them of the outcome.

If you are not selected in the lottery, you may be placed on a waiting list and will be notified by email.

If any selected runners do not confirm their participation within the specified deadline, any available bibs will be offered to runners on the waiting list. These runners will then need to confirm their participation within the indicated deadline.

Some selected runners do not complete their registration before the deadline. When this happens, the available places are offered to runners on the waiting list.

As we cannot predict how many places will become available during this second registration phase, we will not communicate your position on the waiting list or the registration status of runners who were initially selected.

Yes, absolutely.

TDL, PDA y EXP uses a lottery system. The other races are available through direct registration, subject to availability. Registration for these races will open after the lottery process has closed, allowing runners who were not selected to register for another race of their choice.

No. Race bibs are strictly personal and may not be transferred, given away, or sold to anyone other than the runner who was selected through the lottery.

Runners may pre-register for the lottery individually or as a group, either as members of a club or simply as a group of friends.

The aim of this option is for all members of the group to receive the same lottery result: either everyone gets a place or no one does.

To participate as a group, each member must individually meet the requirements for the race they are pre-registering for.

Members of the same group may choose different races (TDL, PDA or EXP), so they do not all need to pre-register for the same distance.

One runner must create the group during the pre-registration process, and the other members must join it before the pre-registration period closes.

A group may consist of a maximum of 6 runners.

MyUTMB+ members with Summiter status receive a 30% boost in the lottery, as part of the program’s benefits.

LOCAL RUNNERS: Runners whose usual and verifiable place of residence is in Val d’Aran receive a 30% additional advantage in the lottery.

The postal address used will be the one registered in the CONTACT section of each runner’s MyUTMB account.

Proof of residence may be requested at a later stage to verify the accuracy of the information provided.

Registration is open to any person, male or female, born in the year indicated (minimum age to be reached by 31/12/2027):

• VDA, CDH, TDL, PDA and EXP: minimum age 20 years (born in 2007 or earlier).
• SKY: minimum age 20 years (born in 2007 or earlier).
• VIELHA 10K: minimum age 16 years (born in 2011 or earlier).
• SKY PROMESAS: minimum age 16 years (years of birth 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008).

MINOR PARTICIPANTS. For races that admit participants under the age of 18, registration shall require the express authorisation of the father, mother or legal representative. The representative shall declare that they know and accept these Conditions and the Regulations insofar as they apply to the minor, shall authorise the minor’s participation and shall provide the necessary contact details. Any data-protection consents that must legally be given by the legal representative shall be obtained specifically during the registration process.

To register for the VDA race, runners must demonstrate experience in long-distance races. They must have a valid UTMB® Index in the 100K or 100M categories.

To register for the CDH and TDL races in the 100K category, runners must demonstrate experience in long-distance races. They must have a valid UTMB® Index in the 50K, 100K or 100M categories.

To register for the PDA and EXP races in the 50K category, you must have a valid UTMB® Index.
