UTMB® Iberia is committed to the recovery of the mountains of Tenerife
Through the NO tee - ONE tree campaign, the runners of Val d'Aran by UTMB® and Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® can renounce their technical t-shirt and donate this amount to the Tenerife Renace initiative.
In this way, UTMB® Iberia will double the donation of the runners for the Tenerife Renace cause, an initiative of the Foresta Foundation and the Cabildo Insular with which environmental restoration actions are planned in the areas affected by the forest fire which started in Tenerife in mid-August 2023.
Last summer the island of Tenerife suffered the worst fire in the Canary Islands in the last 40 years. The flames started on the night of 15 August in the highlands of the municipality of Arafo and eventually affected a perimeter of more than 90 kilometres. Almost 15,000 hectares were razed to the ground and more than 12,000 people had to be evacuated.
From UTMB® Iberia we want to collaborate with the recovery of the mountains of Tenerife. For this reason, we have launched the NO tee - ONE tree campaign by which the runners of Val d'Aran by UTMB® and Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB® can renounce their technical t-shirt and donate this amount to the Tenerife Renace initiative.
